The combination of nature and therapy can make sharing of thoughts and feelings more powerful, support growth within our nervous system, and offer meaningful analogies for life, growth, and perspective.

Most of us have felt the impact of nature on our nervous system and overall well-being. Remember the last time you walked on the beach, stood on a mountaintop, walked through the lush foliage of the woods, or noticed spring flowers arriving in your neighborhood.

Our five senses are our most powerful tool for bringing us into the present moment and experiencing the relief that comes from mindfulness. Bringing therapy outside allows our senses to be used in a more intentional way. By bringing therapy outside, we have the chance to experience the benefits of breathing fresh air, noticing the beautiful colors of the earth, and feeling the ground under our feet.

Eco Therapy can be a helpful approach to therapy for those who:

Are anxious or stressed

Have difficulty sleeping

Feel depressed or hopeless

Are dealing with loss or transition

Are struggling with feelings of overwhelm

Have difficulty concentrating or focusing
