Emotionally Focused Yoga

NEW CLASS FOR SPRING 2026!

Teen Yoga Class

Teen Yoga is designed to help students build strength, improve mobility, and develop better body awareness in a supportive, structured environment. Through a combination of movement, breathwork, and simple mindfulness strategies, teens learn how to manage stress, stay focused, and feel more confident in their bodies. It’s a great option for teens who need a reset from busy schedules, school stress, and constant screen time. No experience is needed. All levels are welcome! Join the Teen Yoga Class currently running Thursdays at 4:15pm at Stand Strong Training Center.

The ancient practice of yoga teaches us how to access awareness of our internal experiences by connecting with our bodies.

From our earliest years, our bodies store experiences and memories inside of them. Repeated experiences can lead to beliefs and thought patterns that influence how we feel about ourselves and our relationships. Yoga teaches us how to release the memories and energy that don’t serve us and gives access to confidence and peace in our bodies.

Meditation practice, exploring Chakra energy centers, and learning Asana poses are all ways we can help you connect to your body and gain understanding and peace within. Humans of all ages have the ability to gently and lovingly use their bodies to heal their emotions. Here at Willow Tree, we can teach you these practices and help you find this kind of healing.

Yoga based strategies can be helpful for clients who struggle with:

Emotional awareness and regulation

Feeling comfortable and confident in their body

Past trauma or negative beliefs

Feeling anxious or overwhelmed

Sleep

Recent break up or other losses that have effected their self esteem

Self esteem

Sitting still and relaxing

Racing thoughts and anxiety

FAQ

We do not have full yoga sessions during a therapy appointment, but can practice individual poses that can allow for mind/body connection surrounding the issues we are working on. We also practice meditation in session and discuss yoga philosophies that are supportive of our goals.
